Was it just "health issues" as stated in his LOCO "exclusive"? that he dropped out of the race this afternoon?

A glance at the 20 signatures in the papers filed by Allen McCloskey filed with Eureka City Council, the names don't jump out, seems like ordinary citizens.


His list of endorsers are more revealing. These are just some of the names:

Allen McCloskey in papers filed with the City lists his address as 2420 Wood Street. Since my last post, I have still not heard back from Mr. McCloskey. He has dropped out as of this afternoon.

Then, look at the documents below.

Allen Don McCloskey is listed as a home owner of 1281 Allard Avenue at the Humboldt County Assessors Office. That address is not in Ward 4.

He listed 2420 Wood Street as his address with the City, and was qualified by the Humboldt Election Office at that address. The 2420 Wood Street property is owned by Justine Trepanier and denise Maciel and is in foreclosure.

He also has to live at the 1281 address to get a homeowner's exemption of $7,000. I have that documentation as well.

So, Allen McCloskey dropped out of the Ward 4 race, was his only reason as stated in Lost Coast Outpost?

Allen McCloskey announced on his facebook page that he is running for Eureka City Council.

According to a source, he has taken papers out for the 4th Ward.
