In Philadelphia vandalism, Antifa related graffitti and arrests

Action News ABC6 reports that police saw a group of about 50 people, all dressed in black, vandalizing several federal buildings in Center City.

The officers spotted the large group around 8:30 p.m. last night at Robert Nix Federal building on the 900 block of Market Street where windows were smashed.

A 25-year-old man was seen throwing a brick through windows into the federal building. He fled with a 24-year-old man and two 23-year-old women, all three were arrested. Damage to the building was estimated at about $3,000.

The vandals then went to the Federal Detention Center at 7th and Arch streets and tagged it with Antifa-related graffiti.

Three other people were arrested at that location. A 25-year-old man and two women aged 22 and 26. 

The man was carrying a glass jar with a fuse going into the bottle which had "a strong flammable odor" as well as a plastic container with white powder labeled "Fire Starter." The younger women had bottles with unknown liquids, some of which had "a chemical smell.

Police are looking for additional suspects.
