Christopher Brockway refused to listen to law enforcement and made statements about "suicide by cop."
Ben McLaughlin's candidate statement from his website is worth reading if you don't know him. He is the most diverse candidate to run for local Judge. He has experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney; his testimonials, supporters and outreach are people from different walks of life. For women and the LGBTQ community, this is an opportunity to for you to elect someone who doesn't say the right words but has advocated and fought for you in the system.
I keep my personal life private. Nazy and I stopped commenting or sharing on Facebook but our friendship has remained strong. For those who missed her live announcement, she is leaving Humboldt. I knew but it was her news and she deserved to share it first. Friendship is more important than a scoop. Wednesday is her last day on air at KAEF in Humboldt. She will be anchoring the morning show from KRCR in Redding.
I was the first one to report in 2020 about this lawsuit. Based on my initial conversations with the plaintiff's attorney, the stipulation and dismissal are no surprise. The goal of the lawsuit was always compliance.
The County tried to put a nice spin in their press release. Read my previous coverage first. Why does the County have to be sued by individuals, groups and even the State to get into compliance?
I was waiting for Ms. Stacey Eads to make a public announcement and she did. Will Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees throw in his hat? After Ms. Eads announcement,I doubt it.

I reported on January 8 an EPD officer and a member of the POP team shot Little Eagle Moon and what EPD policy is and that it was changed after the Clayton Lasinski shooting.
I reported on Moon's arrest this morning. I was right about who the officer was; EPD officer Joseph Couch is a member of the POP team. I reported days ago that Moon was at St. Joseph's and transferred to U.C. Davis and about wounds to his hands. I reported on January 3 the other two passengers were Belle Colegrove and Terrance Ballard.
I was the only one to report all these correct details and do so before the press release.

If Watson had any morals, ethics, was capable of shame and actually cared about the City of Arcata, he would voluntarily step down from serving on Arcata City Council.
