FDA approves first injectable treatment for HIV

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Apretude (cabotegravir extended-release injectable suspension) for use in at-risk adults and adolescents weighing at least 35 kilograms (77 pounds) for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV.

On November 8th, 2021, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a residence in Weitchpec for the report of a 46-year-old female found deceased inside her home.

Murder suspect Daniella Moore's case is on, again this morning for a pre trial conference. I have just been adding updates to the last post because nothing has happened for the last several hearings. There have been several continuances waiting on Dr. Green's report.

In most cases for months now, all that happens in Humboldt Superior Court is continuances.

California Attorney General and 12 district attorneys sue Walmart

 


California Attorney General Rob Bonta filed a lawsuit against Walmart alleging Walmart  disposes materials such as lithium and alkaline batteries, LED lightbulbs and pesticides in disposal sites that are not equipped for them.

Bear River closed until damage is evaluated

Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal told CNN, 
"It was slow rolling at first, but then it really got going. We haven't had a shake like this since 2010."

Humboldt County emergency responders are assessing damage but have had no word of injuries or catastrophic damage. Some minor damage to buildings has been found, including broken glass, said Sheriff Honsal.

As I felt the building shaking, get two alerts. Hard to respond yes to the alert text if you are trying to be safe but I did because I appreciate it.

According to USGS, it was 38 km west of Petrolia and 45 miles from Eureka.

Man arrested for mail theft, stolen property and stealing a California driver's license

On Dec. 20, 2021, at about 3:20 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Herrick Avenue and Alpine Court for the report of an individual stealing mail out of several mailboxes.

After a public trial, this judge was removed for her unethical behavior, abuse of employees and communicating with litigants about the outcome of the case


After a public trial Judge Nakita Blocton of Jefferson County, Alabama was removed from the bench by a special court order.

Convicted felon Ian Terence Fusi arrested for armed robbery in Blue Lake


On Dec. 19, 2021, at about 6:50 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at a residence on the 1000 block of Glendale Drive in Blue Lake in attempt to locate and apprehend a wanted robbery suspect.

Out of 15 entries on today's jail log, 11 have to do with being drunk or a DUI


James McCloskey is on the December 19 jail log list but there was no information about charge, arresting agency arrest date and time because he came in at 5:29 a.m. and they were still in the process of booking him.

He is detoxing right now. Charges are trespassing, obstructing/resisting an officer during arrest and malicious mischief. They are both misdemeanors and when he sobers up; he will be released from jail with a date to appear in court. He is not being charged with public intoxication.

Louisiana Judge Michelle Odinet has been suspended by the Louisiana Supreme Court after a video from her home surveilance footage went viral of her using the n word repeatedly and other derogatory racial slurs.

Ray Christie's case has been reassigned to Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis for all purposes.

Newsom's solution to crime is grants, not changing the laws he signed which emboldened criminals

You can read Gavin Newsom's useless press releas posted below. If he wanted to deter crime, instead of grants, he would have gotten rid of laws such as Prop 47 and stop allowing early release of violent and repeat offenders from jail and prison.
