Defense called witnesses in the Brandon Watson jury trial today starting with EPD Detective Jonathan Eckert who responded to the Pearl in 2016. Audio recordings of EPD's interview with Brian Edwards and Antony Besselieu-Hill, the two alleged victims for that incident were played for the jury.
Today, a heavily medicated Matthew Ramsey entered an additional plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. Ramsey told Judge Lawrence Killoran that he understands he faces a potential life term in the state hospital.

HCSO has been looking for Stacy Lynn French was reported missing in May 2021 by her family. Her daughter today posted online this afternoon that her mother had been found deceased.
