DA wants to amend charges in kidnapping and domestic violence case

Judge Lawrence Killoran finished hearing arguments on the 995 motion to dismiss charges  for alleged rapist Darius Upshaw this morning. He will issue a written ruling.

Upshaw is charged with 6 counts of oral copulation of an intoxicated victim. The alleged victims are two young male victims.

Kailan Meserve had a hearing in his writ of habeas corpus case this morning. There was no livestream so all you get is dates. There is a pre trial on 1/19/ 21 and an evidentiary hearing on February 1 with a time estimate of five days.

Sentencing and defense motion for a new trial for convicted molestor Mark Dare was scheduled this morning. The hearing was continued to December 4 by Judge Kaleb Cockrum.

Human remains found in Ukiah were in advanced stages of decay


On November 4th, 2020, around 4:00 PM, Mendocino County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a suspicious circumstances on private property located in the area of the 11000 block of Low Gap Road, Ukiah, CA.  The reporting party discovered what he believed might be human remains on a remote property.
