Kimberly Felder was arraigned in Courtroom 2 on June 20.

Felder is charged with five counts. Same special allegation for Count 1 and 3.

No psych evaluation yet, trial setting continued again for Ewa Misztal

At her last court hearing on May 31, 2017,
Ewa Misztal, the Polish citizen, charged with the death of her baby, had her trial setting continued to June 21 at 8:30 in Courtroom 2 at the request of the defense.

It was continued again to July 5.

The defense requested the continuance hoping to receive a "pysch evaluation which "will hopefully lead to a resolution in this case," according to Misztal's attorney, Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is prosecuting the case.

"From the building standpoint, the building next to Rita’s commercial kitchen was a total loss. This had been in the process of a previous cannabis permit, and also had been a location where a warrant was executed a couple of months ago for a butane honey oil extraction issue. I heard the tenant was in the process of moving.

Pasta Luego hosts event tonight to help the little girl rescued at Centerville beach

Here to help is an event being held at Pasta Luego in Arcata from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. tonight.

This is a group of people, who have reached out to police, social services and are asking those interested in helping the little girl rescued at the Centerville beach as well as assisting in the well being of her two sisters to attend.

The little girl's mother is Kimberly Felder.
