For those under a rock in the last 24 hours,the DOJ indicted Trump on 37 federal charges. Unlike many Humboldt closet conservatives, at least Steve has the guts to state his support openly. I am not endorsing Steve's views or opinions; I just think there are conservatives in Humboldt who should be upfront about who they are because they feel the same way as Steve does.
Steve's text to me:
"John, you are the only conservative reporter that I know. I just wanted to let you know that I am headed to Miami Florida to stand in solidarity for Donald Trump."
I wouldn't say I am a conservative reporter but I am the only one who presents all sides and I do report moderate, conservative news ignored in Humboldt. In today's polarized society, I am either a "liberal commie" or "the Newsmax of Humboldt" depending on the individual's filter. Anyone who reads my blog knows that I don't do selective coverage. I do my job and don't slant my coverage to any one group. I am independent andx that refers to more than a political label.

6/24/23: Steve Payton, is the owner of Bill Davidson Bail Bonds is now retired. He texted me after this post saying he is retired and his wife Ellie Payton is the sole owner of the bail bonds company. Yet, he posted this on Facebook.
