Jason Daniels denies any wrongdoing with Jane Doe #1; says he never had any contact and does not know Jane Doe #2

Jason Daniels took the stand this morning, after the defense briefly called DA Investigator Kyla Baxley to the stand.

Daniels denied any inappropriate behavior with Jane Doe #1 and testified that he did not recognize or have any contact with Jane Doe #2.

That is essentially the only difference between their two versions.

Before morning break, Ms. Brie Bennett was still cross examining Daniels.

By 11:00, Daniels had finished his testimony and the defense rested their case.

The People then briefly put DA Investigator Kyla Baxley on the stand as their first rebuttal witness.

The jury got to go home around 11:30 a.m today.

Judge Timothy Cissna told the jurors he is meeting with the attorneys this afternoon to go over jury instructions and to see if one other witness will be taking the stand.

Tomorrow at 8:30, the plan is the possible witness, then closing jury instructions, then closing arguments.
