Its unfortunate this criminal hasn't been caught yet. The motel's and service stations need to change their cash policy to have all transactions credit card/ebt card only after 10pm. No money at all since its put in a cash vault and not accessable until 7am or whatever time the owners want. As for being open at these greedy hours to get every cent possible, when does the robbery and cash loss eventually warrant closure from 12am to 7am?
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have as many armed robberies in the past, but opportunity and 24hr open changed the ballgame drastically.
How are you going to make that work then when someone wants $5 back on a debit card? All you will do is simply make nighttime robberies happen in broad daylight. Tweakers don't care what time of day it is if you haven't noticed. Also, we're tourist dollar-driven when the weed part of the economy is taken out. There are MANY travellers, truckers, and otherwise rolling through at 10pm, midnight....3am. Why punish them for the actions of some late night junkie? And what do you mean by "greedy hours to get every cent"? If you're not shopping there, which I can assure you many people do, if only late night travelers, then don't bother spending your money there. Problem solved.
DeleteYes, because it's obviously the victims' fault for getting robbed.
