1000 pounds of trash cleaned up by EPD near 5th and T streets

"These pictures were taken today at the wildlife refuge north of Truesdale Street and at the area behind the Renner fuel station near 5th/T Streets where EPD has been receiving complaints. "

"About 20 subjects were contacted and 6 people cited.  An estimated 1000 pounds of trash was removed by our officers.  Cleaning up garbage isn’t in their job descriptions but Officers Brian Ross and Jonathan Eckert were committed to leaving things better than they found it.  They’re dedication to our community makes me proud! This effort was supported in part by Measure Z funding."

EPD Chief Steve Watson

  1. The garbage left by the nonhumanoids will continue to return after removal. No matter the positive intentions by the conservative mass, the nons will trash ,discard and -hit on everything because there no NO consequences and they know that. This pickup policy feels good but doesn't cure the causes.
