"We may sell our house"

"We may sell our house"

I have known the family in the post below for years. The husband owns a small business and employs several people and the wife has a good job and very active in the community.
This family, like many people, does not wish to be anonymous, but like many people don't want the drama associated with speaking up, especially on this issue.

I don't blame them. There is an allergy in this town to the truth, fear and intimidation if you do speak up. The politicians and those in power to affect change in California prove on a daily basis all they care about is their paychecks and their status. They will sacrifice the interests of decent working people and law abiding citizens as long as it maintains their power and agenda.

All the needle kiosks and opoid treatment centers don't do a damn thing if you don't address the root cause of addictions, which includes drug dealers.

If the plan is to chase taxpayers away from Humboldt and California, it is working well.
There are many individuals, families and businesses planning to leave Humboldt and California. Negative returns on an investment is not people's idea of success.

You cannot maintain an economy off grants and encouraging a drug culture which seems to be the Humboldt economic plan.

    1. We outnumber them greatly, if we all peacefully spoke up, or maybe wrote anonymous letters?
Then our representatives would have to do as we, the people want; and they and their greed can go by the
      wayside.

  2. When no taxpayers are left to foot the bill, those who depend on them will have to foot it themselves.

Those natural resources will be harvested by state ran operations. What's that song by Tennessee Ernie Ford? 16 tons and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt. St. (censored by state law) don't you call me, 'cause I can't go. I owe my soul to the company store.

  4. Thankyou.

If we had at least a few leaders who cared about the community they are supposed to
represent, even a little, instead of how they are going to get their salary out of some grant
which has an agenda that could cripple this county, state; we would be a lot better off.
