There are people who talk local business and shop local and there are people who put their money and demonstrate with action.

Promoting local businesses is why I  originally started this blog. When I contacted Trevor Michel, all I had planned to do was share his story.

Trevor impressed me so much that I decided  this was the opportunity to pay it forward for the kindness and generosity that a stranger showed me a while back. I have no idea who that stranger is but I still remember the Christmas card and the book, "The Christmas Jar."

Supervisor Bohn and I were talking after my interview with Trevor and he said he would sponsor a holiday ad for Trevor on my blog.

Supervisor Bohn is aware of the success that others have had through my blog and my promotion and I appreciate that acknowledgement from him.

I thank Supervisor Bohn for his thoughtfulness. Rex does stuff like this all the time, he does not advertise it.

I promised Trevor that I will do some promotion for him, at no cost. We need more young men and entrepreneurs like Trevor in this community.

How you view Supervisor Bohn's gesture or mine is up to you. It will show your character, not mine or anyone else's character. So, you can view it with joy or the Christmas Spirit or the beauty of living in a small town or you can be Scrooge.

There are people who talk about local business and say shop local.  And, there are people who put their money and demonstrate with action.

I also want to thank all those in this community who are "Christmas Jar" givers, who understand the true meaning of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
