One down, three more to go in Jesus Garcia homicide case

Nicholas Leigl was sentenced this morning by Visiting Judge Michele Verderosa.

Leigl had entered a no contest guilty plea to an added Count 3 PC 186.22 (a). Today, that Count was reduced to a misdemeanor because he has been "in compliance". No jail time due to credits. No probation.

He was released on OR on August 17, by Visiting Judge Bruce Watson.

Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is prosecuting the case. Mr. Michael Acosta is representing Leigl.

Leigl was one of four suspects charged with the death of Jesus Garcia homicide.
