Needles near Mistwood Montessori and the skate park, luckily an adult found them

"Please don't use my name but on the ground underneath my husbands truck in the street in front of my house are 2 needles.  My husband picked them up and I'm trying to figure out how to dispose of them."

"This is near Mistwood Montessori and the skate park. It's crazy how they just throw them in the street like that!"

"Now we're stuck picking up this bio-hazard with no clue where to bring it.  I'm bringing it to Nor Cal Harm Reduction Monday.  That's my plan."

  1. A simplistic and probably unworkable answer: The places that do needle exchanges color code their needles. If an excess of needless from one 'harmless' location keep showing up in places like this (and other public areas) then maybe those exchange sites need to have more oversight on their 'clients' or the sites themselves need more oversight as to what they're enabling. A little "Show and Tell" might make others aware of what is going on (the broader picture) even if the enablers don't see it that way.
