HSU Homeless Student Alliance camps out on the quad

"Currently, there is a camp out of many students that are from alliance clubs and some HSAA club members on the quad here at HSU. This is the second day 12/01/17," said Chante Catt, president of the Homeless Student Advocate Alliance.

She certainly seems like a professional organizer. How many does Humboldt have now? Besides having meetings and talking about how someone else needs to do something, how much has been accomplished?

    1. She is quite professional in appearance; ( from the previous photos),like she's going to work
or something. She was in charge of a homeless camp down south as well; good luck to her.

  2. You can tell it's a fake camp. No piles of garbage, needles or feces. Nice and tidy, if only all "marginalized folks" lived like this. Does this go into extracurricular activities records? Probably come in handy for running for Eureka city Council.

  3. Going by the picture, it means there's only 4 or 5 idiots who "CAN'T FIND HOUSING". This does NOT represent a huge multitude of poor souls attending(?) HSstupidU. Again this is pure socialism at work. Let's wait and see how long the show goes on when the weather turns sour.

    1. I find it very interesting to note that the local liberal media has not jumped to cover this protest. No money in it? No agenda to spin?

    2. Very good point, and pretty much validates the ridiculousness of the staged event. When KIEM or KAEF doesn't show, we KNOW what's reality.

  4. Thankyou. I wonder why Arcata seems to have so many advocates?
Kudos to her finishing her education.

  7. Even if it is staged, and it does look staged; even the traditional students have trouble finding housing.
HSU should designate at least a parking lot where the homeless students can park their
car or pitch a tent to live in; maybe provide some facilities as well.

  8. By traditional you mean students that actually plan ahead have the money and the rental already arranged before they come here?? Then non traditional would be Bernie Sanders said I have free college where is it? Maybe provide means make money magical appear to pay for it. You idiots.

  9. Regardless of your opinion on the post above, here is a link about Sacramento State students being homeless.

    http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/education/article187885324.html

The cost of housing is ridiculous in California and it is a major factor in people being homeless and not being able to pay bills. Another consequence of a state run by Democrats with no clue about economics, waste of taxes and catering to the wealthy. Look at states with bad credit and in financial shambles and they are governed by Democrats. California and Illinois are two examples.

    1. Agreed, costs are huge factor in planning your education. However a majority of today's youth feel they can get what they want by whining instead of working. I and many of my friends went to school with two jobs, we lived in apartments and shared bedrooms, at one time 2 bedrooms 5 roommates. We behaved ourselves and put our nose to the grindstone, we didn't whine about anything, we didn't expect anyone to give us anything, we worked our asses off and we still do today. Hell I had a full time job my last 2 years in high school 3 to 11 PM 5 days a week. Social justice whiners need to put on their big boy pants and work at getting housing, ban together networking with other students. People will help you when they see you trying instead of begging. Plopping down and throwing a hissy doesn't do your cause any good at all, it just makes you look like you're looking for a handout not a hand up.
The major factor in the Democrat, Progressive failing platform are the handouts. Young people flocking to Bernie Sanders because he says I'll give you free education, Free Housing, free everything. And young people suck it up until they get a job and go to work and realized they have to pay for it cuz it's not free. Why does my paycheck have all this money going back to the government??? Oh, to pay for the next Generations free education, free housing, free needles, grants to nonprofits for their salaries to provide free stuff to Junkies. Follow the money down the bureaucratic rat holes. Democrat State's finances are in a shambles because they use their money to buy votes, buy them from illegal aliens, welfare and general relief addicted weak willed whiners who wouldn't take a job if you gave it to them. Housing cost are a direct result of higher taxes, be at the pump or at the insurance company or at the grocery store. Sorry kids reality is if you want to play you gotta pay.
