One of the three suspects who vandalized the Wells Fargo ATM was arrested at the bank Friday

One of the three suspects who was caught on surveillance camera vandalizing the  Wells Fargo ATM was arrested when he came into the bank Wednesday.

One of other two suspects is also a Wells Fargo customer.

EPD's Crime Analyst Brittany Powell: "On November 1, 2017, at around 1:00 p.m., 28 year old Richard Jerald Thomas Smith was arrested in connection to the ATM vandalism.  Officers are continuing to investigate the involvement of two additional suspects.   "

  1. Since it's an ATM and Wells Fargo is a national bank (FDIC insured) , does that make this a federal crime ultimately? I wonder if the (accused) thieves thought it might be federal?
