Experts, "new defenses" lead to James Merrick's jury trial being set for April 9



Trial setting was scheduled this morning for James Merrick, the man who is charged with the death of  Mckinleyville teen, Tessa Gingerich.

  1. If this clown wants to start playing not my fault bullshit games he needs to pay for a private attorney. All defendants are eligible for proper defense and if he can't afford one one will be provided but, bottom line he was drunk and now wasting taxpayers money and time . Own up and plead guilty, beg for mercy or hire a private attorney.

  2. "Merrick is charged with the murder of a teen pedestrian in Mckinleyville, two DUI charges and a charge of hit and run." So how and why is this piece of garbage still not at trial for the previous quoted charges? Law requires a swift and immediate trial. That's a laugh for sure!!!!
    Let's outsource to a County with nothing on their dockit and put this sleeze ball thru trial,convict, and lock'm up. Is that asking much as a citizen????
