John Beidemann waives OR/Bail hearing, enters time waiver setting on Nov 3

John Beideman had an OR/Bail hearing scheduled this morning. Court started late because the Public Defender assigned to case was not present and they were waiting in court staff, Judge.

This was the only case special set at 8:30 in Courtroom 5. Court finally started at 8:55 a.m.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is prosecuting the case. A couple related to the alleged victim were in court.

New dates for intervention and preliminary are expected to be scheduled on November 3.

Deputy Public Defender Brie Bennett was present at arraignment but this case is not assigned to her. Deputy Public Defender showed up at 8:50. Someone gave him incorrect information that the bail hearing was this afternoon.

On behalf of Beideman, Mr. McLaughlin waived OR/Bail without prejudice. Time was waived for both 10  and 60 days so that defense could prepare for the case.

No other media in court.
