SB 65 makes drinking booze or smoking weed an infraction! Yeah, that's a deterrence

"This bill would instead make drinking an alcoholic beverage or smoking or ingesting marijuana or any marijuana product while driving, or while riding as a passenger in, a motor vehicle being driven upon a highway or upon specified lands punishable as an infraction."

  1. Catch and release while still drunk? The very least courts could do here is impose a $5000 car key return fee. ~TMOB

  2. It doesn't say anything about being over the legal limit. That's a different issue than drinking while driving.

  3. Current law allows open alcohol containers in the back while the vehicle is being driven. , not in the driver's compartment which would be problematic if someone is in back of the bus burning a phatty.

  4. Let's hope these losers high on weed, and drugged on meds kill themselves solo without harming anyone else. Good riddance to the weakest link of society.
