You decide how credible this claim by Tina Sampay regarding a Craigslist post on the Lawson case is or is not?

(Tina Sampay Linkedin)

I contacted APD about a claim Tina Sampay made on her facebook page and website since it referenced APD.

This is the text of a post linked on her facebook page from August 5 at 12:01 a.m:

"The Arcata Police Department are currently in discussion to release a statement about a fictitious Craigslist post in the murder investigation of Humboldt State University student David Josiah
Lawson."

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1124395607661748&id=556701777764470

I asked APD these if the above claim was accurate and if APD would be releasing a statement. I also asked these two questions:

1. If it is, will it be sent out via press release?
2. Will it include any other updates on the David Lawson homicide investigaton?

APD Chief Tom Chapman responded:
"Hi John, no we are not planning on releasing a press release."

Tina Sampay passes off information that she has access to via some avenue, not APD, not reporting.

It is not anything APD has released yet to the public or media.

This would  be information that only Arcata City Council or HSU or his family and friends would have about the ongoing investigation.

If you have read my previous posts on Tina Sampay, you will understand why I skeptical about anything she says.

  1. I am waiting to see if Tina Sampay and her gang of HSU students will have another one of their protest marches, and try to once again hold the citizens of Arcata hostage until they give into their demands to call the Humboldt County D.A.s Office to demand support for their cause. Such as what happened in May at the Arcata Union Town shopping center.

Many of the long time permanent residents were turned off by those actions, and they lost support for their cause.

Plus on Tina Sampay's Facebook page, she seems to be upset about the House Bill in North Carolina that is against the protesters not being able to stop traffic while protesting for their cause of the week.

NC House Passed HB 330 – Allowing Drivers To Legally Drive Through Protesters Who Block Roads

It was introduced by Republican Justin Burr and “provides that a person driving an automobile while exercising due care is immune for civil liability for any injury to another if the injured person was participating in a demonstration or protest and blocking traffic.”

“As we’ve seen, time and time again, as folks run out in the middle of the streets and the interstates in Charlotte and attempt to block traffic,” Burr said. The Republican commented that he wants to ensure that “drivers don’t have to fear driving through Charlotte or anywhere in North Carolina.”

“This bill does not allow for the driver of a vehicle to target protesters intentionally,” he added. “It does protect individuals who are rightfully trying to drive down the road.”

  2. If I were Charmaine Lawson I would be very upset with Tina Sampay.

  3. I said it on an earlier post, and it's worth repeating, and she should consider this... It's quite likely that the killer is someone she knows. Perhaps an accidental killer, but surely not likely to return to school this year at HSU. Whoever it is, their fingerprints are likely on that knife. It may surface someday when the person is picked up for some reason or has to get printed in order to work at a school or somewhere else. There is no statute of limitations on murder, so it will follow him/her all their life.

Likewise it will follow the one person accused thus far, until that other person is found.

Who was in the middle of that melee that has not returned to school this year? Who knows, and isn't talking?

It is wrong to smear an entire community, and call for the lynching of an innocent man, when you likely KNOW the real answer.

  4. CRAIGSLIST POST on 8/27/2017 ?ARCATA POLICE suspect Elijah Chandler of killing David Josiah Lawson According to local sources ,the Arcata Police now suspect Elijah Chandler in the stabbing death of HSU student David Josiah Lawson. The dark skinned,steely-eyed,outspoken Chandler is also the number one suspect according to a majority of Humboldt County residents familiar with the matter.

Sources include an article written by HSU Graduate/Investigative Reporter Tina Sampay at slausongirl.com
The article states that the police are in discussions to release a statement possibly clearing Chandlers name.Chandler seemed to be implicated in an extremely controversial, intriguing and captivating craigslist post from May of this year.

Another source, local court reporter, blogspot, johnchiv.com followed up to see where the discussions went.
Many were wondering if the Arcata Police would release a statement clearing Elijah Chandler.
The Arcata Police responded to JohnChivs inquiry by saying 'NO,we are NOT planning on releasing a press release'

It is only fair for many to believe that the shocking,eye-opening scenario of the craigslist post is actually true and that the
Arcata Police have named Elijah Chandler as their #1 Suspect !!
