Deputy Joe Conlin's last day at HCSO tomorrow; but he will still be around the Courthouse


It must be the coffee at the Humboldt County Public Defender's office.


They have wooed former Deputy District Attorney Jason Sheets, Deputy DA Brie Bennett, Deputy DA Kelly Neel and now HCSO Deputy Joe Conlin.

HCSO is losing a senior deputy, with a lot of experience, and the courts are losing a great bailiff.

    Why would the Public Defender's Office hire a sheriff's deputy? Confusing.
