"This is bullshit, he is not guilty? "; most of Courtroom 1 clears after Eric Lively's arraignment

After the arraignment of Eric Lively was completed, most of Courtroom 1 was empty.

About ten people walked out in the hallway outside Courtroom 1 and wer  talking to Hunter Cresswell from the Times-Standard when I left. LOCO's Rhonda Parker was also in court, waiting to speak with them.

A woman sitting next to me in court said, "This is bullshit, he is not guilty?"

A plea of not guilty to the charge of murder was entered for Lively by his attorney, Mr. Russ Clanton. Time was not waived.

At Mr. Clanton's request, the preliminary hearing was set for May 23 @ 9:45 a.m. and the intervention for May 22 at 9:45 a.m.

Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal was present for the People. The victim is Jesse Simpson.

  1. Seems to be part of a disturbing pattern, "Guilty Until Proven Innocent". So much for having to actually prove all elements of a crime Beyond A Reasonable Doubt, let's just bring out the rope and be done with it...
