  1. John - Any word from Ocean View Cemetery, Chamber of Commerce, Eureka City Council, Chief Mills or any Veteran's Groups? I hope you have time to look into this. Thank you for all you do.

    1. Will give Ocean View a few days to see what their investigation uncovers and any actions they may take, depending on what they learn.

    2. John - It's a big story. Veteran's are treated poorly all across the country even though they are the reason you get to exist. There are lots of veterans in Humboldt. You should talk to some and see what they say. Many have died.

    3. It has already gone national. And I already plan to follow up.

    4. I am willing to wager they weren't playing a round of golf....just wanting to drive a few golf balls (and most likely not on someone's grave). I live right across the fence from Sunset Cemetery and watch these guys work all the time. They are very respectful with the job they do. If you want to get heated about things happening at the cemetery there are regulars that bring their dogs and use it as a dig park allowing them to do their business all over (#1 & #2) AND don't bother cleaning up after them.....next time I see them I will post pic for ya! That infuriates me. Driving a couple balls isn't bothersome to me but that's my opinion.

  3. Jon - Thanks for the Marci Kitchen update! I was over in Trinity County today, and missed the local news this evening.

I sure do wish I would have been called for Jury Duty in the Marci Kitchen case. One of neighbors was, but was dismissed due to the hardship for the estimated length of the trial - I was told by them it could be as long as 21 days?

I did send out emails with the video links on the Ocean View golfing issue, and have not had any responses back from my local Veteran network yet.

  4. Marci's gonna walk free with an insanity plea. It sucks to say that fact, but her lawyer will pull it off. God forbid the negative consequences from an already pissed off community wanting justice.

  5. John, Can you enlighten us about the implications of these changes. Can you explain what Felony M/A Y and T/S eligible N means? Are these charges specifically drafted to trigger consecutive sentences?

    1. Yes, TS is,Traffic School so either you are eligible or not eligible. For a DUI, not eligible for traffic school, which is determined by traffic courts. The rest will have to wait until I have a free moment.
