Is healing a community repeatedly claiming the death of David Josiah Lawson was racially charged crime without any evidence supporting that claim, so far

(poster from Arcata after a Justice for Josiah rally)
Who appointed Elijah Chandler and Alex Foster as spokespersons for Ms. Lawson?

What have Brothers United done besides being front and center getting media attention to help solve this case? Have those attending the party volunteered to be fingerprinted? Have they agreed to be fingerprinted, if asked?

Brothers United could start by telling the truth about that night and why Keaundrey Clark was kicked out of BU? They sure don't have a problem with attention or being in public, when it suits them.

Is healing a community repeatedly claiming the death of David Josiah Lawson was racially charged crime without any evidence supporting that claim, so far, and maligning a community and court for releasing a man who was not held to answer due to lack of evidence?

It's been a month. What other homicide has been solved in a month? Especially when constant media distractions and protests are being held instead of allowing that time to be used to solve the case.

Why was a poster put up calling for CA DOJ involvement before the preliminary for Kyle Zoellner was concluded?

Does Ms. Lawson condone this statement made by Tina Sampay?

"If this happened anywhere else they would burn this muthafucka up they so lucky we so small numbers and schools about to let out"

Who is paying for these trips from LA to Humboldt? Who is paying for the reward? Is it HSU? Is it the City of Arcata?

Besides a very sensible statement to North Coast News, David Lawson's father has been absent and silent.

The other media is too scared to ask these questions.  If you want constant media attention, then you need to answer all questions, not just what is convenient.

Stop calling people racist because you are being asked to be accountable for words and actions. The only charge of constant racism is coming from one side and one group of people.

  1. They (people making false claims) know they won't get media time unless they make it about color. Which is sad, being claims are out there that his own "brother" stabbed him, in attempt to stab "the white boy". To me the racist part was a bunch of men of color beat a white man, probably because of his whiteness. That is the racist part.

    2. why would these people bring so much attention to themselves if they had done the stabbing? common sense would mandate flying under the radar wouldn't it.

    3. Just Me, Common sense would, but common sense would also mandate accepting a court's decision citing lack of evidence and releasing a defendant, while continuing to investigate, reasonable. By crying racism, by trying to intimidate anyone trying to gather facts, or report all the facts, by thinking justice in this case alone should be done in one month when uncooperative peoole leave the scene, by letting the justice process continue unhindered by protests labelling a community not doing enough based on emotion, that common sense also mandates why would someone do that, if you have nothing to hide?

    1. Nice try and it won't work next time. I knew this baseless claim would be made because you trolls are so predictable. Scared of the truth? Why shouldn't these questions be asked? Where am I attacking a grieving mother? The only ones using her are those wanting their 15 minutes of fame while not coming forth with the complete truth about that night. Don't try your false racism, anti police bs where you have no evidence, just fueling hate. The public is on to who is behind these unsubstantiated attacks towards this community and me in an effort to distract from the truth being exposed. There is no need for constant press conferences, constant appearances at City Hall, constant rallies in just one month. If this is about justice, then why impede the efforts and resources needed to investigate this case? I have printed enough of your nonsensical attacks. Either provide information that can be verified, feedback that answers or helps or don't waste my time or the public's time with the same personal attacks.

  3. Unfortunately, Lawson can't choose his "spokespersons." Who appointed you, John, as the spokesperson for the deniers?

    1. I was waiting for your idiot troll self to start with your nonsense. Do you have brains?
Ms. Lawson cannot chose who speaks for her? I am not a spokesperson for the "deniers", I report facts, I report news, I use my name, you don't. I am all for anonymous comments but you trolls have a pattern. Now, read the article again, if you make a valid comment, it will be published. As explained above, if you just waste my time by incessant attacks, they can go where they belong in the trash.
This case has sure brought out a lot of hanger ons with their agenda, and you cannot prove otherwise, especially by being anonymous.

  4. "What have Brothers United done besides...." murdering Josiah?
We all suspect it's the truth, so why not say it?

  5. Tina may not be speaking out much in Humboldt, but she is still writing. I'd call it propaganda: http://afrikanblackcoalition.org/2017/05/10/the-george-zimmerman-of-humboldt-county-charges-against-kyle-zoellner-dropped-in-murder-of-david-lawson/
I don't remember John that you've called BU a 'gang'. People commenting here and elsewhere may have used that term, but the 1st Amendment gives them that right. There is also a question as to the actual word. There are many nuances to the definition of 'gang'. The NIJ says "There is no universally agreed-upon definition of "gang" in the United States".
But back to the link I posted. To have a perspective on the blog it is posted on, you might want to look at another opinion piece posted there:
    http://afrikanblackcoalition.org/2017/01/05/the-misunderstanding-of-minister-louis-farrakhan-the-nation-of-islam/

As John said, if there is evidence, if there are facts not previously known (and verifiable), then see that the proper authorities. If you have opinions to state then don't expect them to be accepted as facts.
And in print, as in public, be prepared to be measured by the company you keep.

  7. I would like to know if Elijah Chandler's shirt was sent to the DOJ for comparison to the fibers found on the knife. I know they won't answer that question, but perhaps it would be good to ask the chief so they know people are questioning it. The lack of any blood or fingerprints on the knife almost certainly means it was wiped and Chandler used his shirt to put pressure on Lawson's wounds, so any blood on it from the knife would be indescernable. I don't know if Elijah actually did the stabbing, but based on the current evidence and his statements, I would bet he cleaned that knife and that he knows exactly what happened to Lawson. I hope they investigate him despite his involving himself with the family and investigation. It was disgusting to watch him blatantly lying once again at the family's press conference today.

  8. i've not hear that it's been decided that the 10' knife found under that car IS the murder weapon.

    1. Even if it wasn't, it still must have been handled. One would reasonably expect more than one partial fingerprint on a smooth, non porous metal blade and plastic handle. I would bet anything that it was wiped clean by some article of clothing. I'm no expert, but Chandlers shirt is probably the only article of clothing that could have been used to do that with nobody noticing the blood stain.
