  1. Tina Sampay shows her lack of intelligence by posting this. She is the type of person we do not need in our community. Hopefully with the end of school, she leaves our county.

  2. She CAN write well...she won an award while a journalism student at HSU. She has chosen to write this way and act this way. I have no idea what she's trying to do...unless someone is trying to get national media attention for this unfortunate death.
Are there outside agitators trying to cause problems? Happens elsewhere...could be...Could also be just a personal agenda. Somehow if I had lost a child some woman I don't know going on and on about my child, well I'd want to tell her to show some respect and shut up. A mother doesn't raise a son and proudly send him off to college to have to deal with her loss and the circus some other people are making of his death.
Perhaps an insight into this young woman: She chose HSU over a well-known Black college because HSU offered free housing. (her own words).

    1. She's decided to sink her teeth into the hand that fed her. If she's going to use social media to blow things out of proportions, she would be wise to not blow herself up with it.

    1. Or made it private and put her settings to people she approves. Accountability and free speech only counts for some people when it is convenient for them.

    2. Another possibility is that it was on someone else page and not hers. This would make it more difficult to find, if not impossible.

    3. She took the photo of the flyer down... I had taken a picture of it on her page, because it is so disrespectful, and I thought she would take it down, and that way someone has evidence of how dirty she is.

  8. Apparently, Tina Sampay linked my post on Zoellner's past record in this post.

    https://www.slausongirl.com/single-post/2017/04/28/Kyle-Zoellner-Arrested-For-Meth-Possession-In-2013

Michael Fennell and Tina Sampay did not have a problem with my reporting then. Also, its okay for her mention race but I cant when a guy all week refuses to tell me his name and follows me all around the second floor.

Her account of what happened at arraignment in the post I linked is so far off from reality and just her perception. Mine will be backed by other people, not my friends, independent witnesses.

Let'see if Tina and Lawson supporters remember these words outside Courtroom 2 at arraignment. "We all are from the inner city but you Humboldt locals are aggressive." This after Zoellner's mother was verbally harassed by a Lawson supporter, the woman who said this to a bunch of people she does not know. I did not report it then but that same behavior continued all of last week after I called a few Lawson supporters out for being loud in the courtroom.

Again, who is protesting? Who is acting out all weekend with no consideration for other Arcata citizens. APD screwed up by not sending more officers that night and doing a proper investigation that night. Today, what did they do to protect citizens trying to exit a parking lot? Nothing.

  9. Why endanger a young woman just to make your political point John Chiv? Truly disgusting.

    1. Another anonymous comment and insult. What is disgusting is those locals that revealed irrelevant, personal information about me to Lawson's girlfriend and others endangering me and my safety. What is digusting is her comment suggesting violence and endangering the community. Which is no longer viewable. Why? What is digusting is people stalking me in the Courthouse, taking photos without permission and harassing. What is digusting is lying about me online and in person, to others in the Courthouse and elsewhere. Opinions are not facts. What is disgusting is protestors preventing ordinary citizens yesterday and Friday night by mob mentality. What is disgusting is passing out Kyle Zoellner's poster insinuating lies about him when he was cleared in a court of law. All you anonymous commenters insulting me and defending Tina are coming from one common source. I published enough of your worthless comments. From now on, either provide a real email address along with information for verification, or I will not print your drivel. Scared that if you use your real name I or others would sue you. You have already provided more than enough documentation.

  10. We all have skeletons in our closets. Doesn't mean we ate killers. Neither is Kyle. Bringing up people's pasts when it has nothing to do with the current is redicioulous. She will learn that someday when she does something wrong. (Guarantee it will happen)

  11. Interesting that Tina Sampay writes a blog with an albs, hiding who she really is... Could it be because of her shady past... most likely so... Lets dig up dirt on her, since she seems to like dirt...

  19. I would suggest to understand or question what Ms. Sampay says or writes that you read her blog and make up your own mind. But for those who don't want to click through or don't have the time this is the pertinent information I gained from it:
"Slauson Girl is life through the eyes of a girl born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles. This blog was developed while a reporter and editor for my universities (sic) newspaper.
"this blog will serve as a platform to share my writings touching on current events, pop culture, racism, Hip-Hop economics and history.
"Not wanting to be confined to the streets of the inner city forever, one must utilize the scarce, but available exit routes to ensure a life trapped in the ghetto does not become a reality. I was one of these people, utilizing the university as my game plan and exit strategy.
"Once I relocate back to Los Angeles at the end of 2017, I plan to start producing video content in addition to interviews.
"This blog was developed with the idea and intent to serve as a representation for marginalized inner city youth, specifically girls in the ghetto's (sic) of Los Angeles.
Where are inner city girls represented within mainstream America?
Representation is crucial for the disenfranchised and the oppressed.

  20. I would suggest Ms Sampay look into The Black Resource Center (BRC) which was established as a special service of the County of Los Angeles Public Library in 1978 to serve the informational and educational needs of African Americans and the larger population by supporting research and study on social, historical and cultural aspects unique to the African American experience. http://www.colapublib.org/resourcecenters/brc/
They might well be able to provide information on writers currently dealing with the issues which concern Ms Sampay. And if she did not listen to KPFK in LA then she missed a large forum for African-American voices.
There is a broad line between fact and commentary. John Chiv reports fact; other people offer commentary. Learning and observing the difference is what sets both good reporters and good commentators apart from the rest. There is a reason why good newspapers and journals have sections they identify as Opinion.

I would also like to remind Ms. Sampay that just as I could find the information I've posted here and elsewhere, so can others later find other things. So when you go back to South Los Angeles (it's no longer South Central) and you write about your life and times and events here in Humboldt, there will always be the other side to the story you're trying to tell to refute your version. If you plan on writing fiction, fine or making videos based on something you've seen...well, do make certain you can defend what you say as libel, slander or defamation of character can be matters for legal action.
I am not speaking for myself, but as an observer. But I do try to speak for the law, the system of laws which CAN protect us (or can be changed by legal means).

  21. John endangering a "young woman"? The piece of trash ADULT woman has put Kyles life, and his family and friends lives in danger. She is the one who posted flyers, both on her Facebook page (yes I have proof, I took a picture of her page) and out in public. She is a menace to society, and needs to be stopwd. She is trying to ensue a riot.

    1. Hi Casie, I would love to touch bases with you in regards to your proof. I have been documenting all the harassment Tina has been doing towards Kyle. I would love to add the screenshots and pictures to this list. If you could possibly send John Chiv your email and I could ask him to forward it to me, that way it's not out in the open. Thank you!
