Reports of armed man, possible 5150 on Herrick; EPD looking for kidnapping suspect

Scanner had all this but Operation Safe Streets has the best recaps.

Update: Couple of sources tell me kidnapping suspect name is known to EPD so maybe victim knows him.

OSS (5 minutes ago):


California Highway Patrol headed to area of Herrick Avenue.  Reports of 5150 subject in middle divider that may be armed and has made threats.  Subject was wanted by Fortuna Police earlier for welfare check.  ☆☆  Avoid the area and stay alert if you living the area.   Subject is considered
armed. ☆☆

OSS (10 minutes ago):

Multiple law enforcement units are in the area of Hillsdale and E Street for suspect wanted in earlier kidnapping incident.  Female and vehicle have been located.  Suspect fled on foot.  Described as black male, large build,  all in dark clothing with beanie cap.

OSS (22 minutes ago):

If it wasn't busy enough,  Winco has Jessica Alexander detained for allegedly attempting to steal another female customers purse.  Unfortunately for her, she's got a felony warrant so she'll probably see the jail.  Yay!
