Poppy, marijuana, meth, heroin and unsafe electrical conditions in POP bust

On July 5, 2016, the Eureka Police Departments Problem Oriented Policing Unit served a Search Warrant at the 1300 block of Summer Street. The search warrant was in response to numerous citizen complaints and an ongoing investigation into alleged narcotic activity.

A search of the residence yielded 403 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, 188 opium poppy plants, 16 lbs. of processed marijuana, small amounts of methamphetamine and heroin, a sawed off shotgun and a non-operational revolver.

Due to unsafe electrical conditions, PG&E was called to the scene and power was shut off to the residence.

As a result of the investigation, the following six subjects were taken into custody for various charges:
1. Steven Crane (51)
a. Felon in Possession of a Firearm
b. Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun
c. Possession of a Controlled Substance
d. Marijuana Cultivation 
e. Felon in Possession of Ammunition
f. Possession for Sales of Marijuana
g. Maintaining Residence for Providing Controlled Substances
h. Possession of Concentrated Cannabis
i. Cultivation of Opium Poppy
