You bring em here, you feed em, house em and make sure they get back home. It's not someone else's responsibility.

Great analysis of the types of people who end up homeless. One group missing, those who come here or are recruited here to "protest", "sit in trees".

  1. The ones who end up stuck here without resources are rarely the ones who were 'brought' here. Those ones usually get paid enough to make their way back.
Then they go home and tell their buddies, who come out on their own to follow the dream. Then they get caught up in Humboldt's 2nd favorite pastime: booze.
More and more people are looking for trim work; more and more growers are using trim machines. Though from what I've seen, the sheer numbers of trimmigrants would still overwhelm the jobs available even without the machines.

  2. Hey trimmers! Here's a tip: vegetable farms can use help, too. And you're less likely to end up working for dangerous people.
