Video surveillance does help in arrest and future conviction

In November 2015, deputies arrested  Michael Otis Springs for several recent burglaries from the Trinidad Water Treatment Plant. He is the same suspect in today's HCSO press release.

On Thursday, March 10, 2016 at about 12:34 p.m., Humboldt County Deputy Sheriff’s responded to the 20 block of Seadrift Lane, Westhaven, for a burglary alarm. Deputies were advised the male victim had video surveillance at the residence, which he was able to access through the internet. The victim was able to describe to deputies the suspect as a white male adult, with brown hair, and a dark colored top. The victim also stated as the suspect was fleeing the residence with an unknown object, the suspect slipped and fell.
Deputies reviewed photos from the surveillance video and deputies were able to identify the suspect from prior contacts as 20 year old Michael Otis Springs. Deputies searched the residence and surrounding area for Springs and were unable to locate him. Deputies expanded their search. At about 3 p.m. deputies located Springs less than one mile away on the 1100 block of Driver Rd, Westhaven.
Springs was arrested and taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked for burglary and violation of probation. His bail has been set at $50,000.


HCSO Press Release (November 2015):
On 11-05-2015 at about 9:13 a.m. Humboldt County Sheriff Deputies were investigating several recent burglaries from the Trinidad Water Treatment Plant in Trinidad. The deputies went to a residence located in the 500 block of Old Wagon Wheel, Trinidad. The deputies contacted the suspect 20 year old, Michael Otis Springs.The deputies arrested Springs for Burglary and placed his hands in handcuffs behind his back.
As one of the deputies were walking Springs to the patrol vehicle he was able to break free from there [their] control and run off into the woods. Deputies pursed Springs on foot, but lost sight of him. A K-9 responded to the scene from the Eureka Police Department to attempt to locate Springs. After an extensive search by law enforcement they were unable to locate Springs.
The Sheriff Office issued a Be on the Lookout (BOL) to other law enforcement agencies to arrest Springs for Burglary and escape from a peace officer. Springs is described as a white, male, 5’-10” in height, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

  1. Surveillance only helps if the attorney is not railroading the client because the client gets no benefit of surveillance if the path to court is sabotaged by an attorney connected to the establiahment. Victims who are despised by the establishment get victims zed again by the faux attorney.

    The only good attorney is "The Creator".

    Man made laws mean zilch when a victim gets injustice.

    The Rise of Trump is not so unorthodoxed now is it?

    America is going down partly because of the injustice system. Potential business owners won't invest in a community led by frauds, and after the abuse, the community lost that opportunity for betterment.

    Fool once, fool twice, but won't be fooled thrice.
