Two paramedics from City Ambulance of Eureka nominated by Assemblyman Wood for an award

Two paramedics from City Ambulance of Eureka were nominated by Assemblyman Jim Wood for this year's Star of Life Award.

This is a photo of them getting the award.

City Ambulance's Chief Operating Officer Jaison Chand said, "They were given the award for managing a very complicated multiple shootings call In Southern Humboldt several months ago 45 minutes away from the closest hospital. Both patients had critical injuries and both patients survived due to their actions in providing care and coordinating a rendezvous with a helicopter for one of the patients."
