Open since Tuesday, The Greene Lily Cafe already has "regulars"

I reported on this new Old Town business while they were still getting ready to open.

Today, I stopped by.

The Greene Lily Cafe is open and on a sunny Saturday in Humboldt, tables of friends and family are enjoying fare that includes brunch starters such as fresh pears with brown sugar, orange juice and butter drizzled with vanilla yogurt. Entrees such as crab cake benedict, breakfast burger, biscuits and gravy, melted brie and veggie wraps.

Regular breakfast includes various egg benedicts, omelettes, huevos rancheros and french toast.

Lunch includes philly cheese steak, chicken strips, burgers and sandwiches with vegetarian options.

Mimosas, beer, wine and ale are available in addition to non alcoholic beverages.

They have only been open since Tuesday and already have regulars, said Charity Desbrow, the owner, pictured above. Coffee is from a local supplier and baked goods feature Vellutini's bakery.
