Theft report filed last week for Eye of the Phoenix Center in Old Town
Alleged break-in or possible theft at Eye of the Phoenix Vision Center in Old Town. Sgt. Brook confirmed that theft report was filed on the 8th. Tried to contact Eye of the Phoenix for comment.
EPD's Brittany Powell responded to me via email. We took a report on 07/08/15 at 9:34 a.m. It was not a break in but it was reported a black male in his 20’s took at least 10 pairs of sunglasses.
Two suspects entered the Vision Center and while one distracted the staff another broke into a locked case and pocketed over a dozen pairs of high end sunglasses. The staff confronted the suspect and he dropped several of the sunglasses but still made off with quite a few pairs. I have a photo of the suspect but I'm not sure if I should publish it or just how to get it on your blog.
