15 laptops stolen from Eureka Charter School, no forced entry

On 05-02-2014, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the principal of Pacific View Charter School, 2937 Moore Avenue, Eureka who reported a theft of computers.


 When the deputy arrived he spoke with the principal who reported that someone had stolen 15 Aspire One laptop computers from the school. The principal was unsure how the suspect(s) accessed the school to steal the computers. The computers were all stored in a white cabinet in a class room on the south side of the building. The computers were last seen at the school on 05-01-2014 in the afternoon.   The principal said there was no signs of forced entry, however mentioned a window could have accidentally been left unlocked. The estimated loss is approximately $5000.00.
